From installation to an explainable first review
Open the Side Panel
Click the SiteEgress toolbar icon on a normal HTTP or HTTPS website.
Review the score
Use the score as a prioritization aid, then read the findings and evidence rather than relying on the number alone.
Inspect destinations
Search third-party hostnames, known services, channels, and the data-flow view.
Compare a privacy choice
In Detailed mode, open History, capture Before choice, make the choice manually, browse briefly, capture After choice, and review or export the comparison.
Enable optional features deliberately
Read the disclosure before enabling local history or Geo Insights.
Export only when needed
Review the report before sharing because hostnames and observed destinations can be sensitive in context.
Connect Agent Guard optionally
Install Agent Guard, enable the bridge in both extensions, and review the connection status. Disable either side to stop summary exchange.

Use consistent definitions when reading the interface and evidence
ObservedA browser-visible resource or API event was seen during the current session.
Name-only URL query classificationOnly bounded, sanitized parameter names can influence sensitivity categories; parameter values are not inspected.
DeclaredThe page referenced a destination, such as preconnect or DNS prefetch, but an actual transfer was not confirmed.
MatchedA destination matched a known service in the packaged local catalog.
HeuristicAn API signal may be privacy-sensitive but can also have legitimate graphics, media, compatibility, or anti-fraud uses.
Geo InsightsCountry-level estimates derived from observed public destination-server IPs after explicit opt-in.
Privacy CheckpointA bounded, minimized snapshot of browser-visible evidence within a selected time window.
Privacy ReceiptA user-requested standalone HTML comparison record with confidence and limitations; it is generated locally and not uploaded.
Exposure scoreA bounded summary of visible destinations, known services, collection signals, fingerprinting signals, and transport hygiene—not a legal or moral verdict.
Security Suite bridgeAn optional local, fixed-ID connection to Agent Guard that exchanges only minimized, origin-scoped evidence summaries after both products opt in.
